CALL FOR PAPERS (Deadline April 15): II WORKSHOP "BIG DATA, SOCIAL MEDIA & SOCIETY"
The Working Group "Big Data, Social Media & Society" organises its Second Workshop. It is organised by the Research Center “Social Studies and Social Intervention” (www.eseis.es) and Simplelab (simple.uhu.es) both placed at the University of Huelva (Spain), in order to promote research, training, and transfer in this transdisciplinary field.
In the Workshop, we will discuss about theoretical, methodological, and practical dimensions on applied aspects, and social effects or implications of the widespread use of big data and social media in our societies, with special interest in the connections between big data, social media and social network analysis.
Keynote Speaker: Modesto Escobar, Full Professor of Sociology at the University of Salamanca, Department of Sociology and Communication, who will deliver the Lecture: "Big Data y Ciencias Sociales”.

Though the main language of the Workshop is Spanish, papers are accepted in: Spanish, English and Portuguese.
